OK, I had to work and didn't get to the Quad today. Anyone with any insight?

Fort Hills offense look good. But defense needs a lot of work. I only got to watch about 25 minutes. I had to go to work.

Agreed on the backfield. Loaded in the backfield. 1st and 2nd teamers. Defense got penetration against a very good and athletic Wilson team. Just will not see that type of offense so it's hard to gauge on the defense. Wanted to see 1st team Laurel Highlands against 1st team FH, but it didn't happen. Would be more of what we'll see this year. Anyhow, very vanilla on O and D and not much to take away other than loads of running backs and the running game will be the strength. Line will come along. Is there a QB controversy.......if you were there, you would probably agree with me on who should start.

Got there a little late. The Green team (North County?) passed well against FH deep. Raises concerns for pass D against Clearfield, but they have time to work on this. Basic stuff today. I believe this is a solid, albeit young team. Good things ahead for this season.

The green team was Wilson, the red team was North County and the blue team was Laurel Highlands.

I agree on the QB comment above. I think it's only a matter of time until that switch is made.

Also a note on the loaded backfield. Only one of them is a senior (44) and he doesn't start.

I couldn't make it to the Quad this year, so obviously have no opinion on it, other than would tend to agree with Waggle's general comment, especially being FH's first scrimmage. Fans, like me, usually take a very different perspective on scrimmages verses coaches, as their objectives are typically very different. Following is part of a text from my son (a coach) on his team's approach to scrimmages. I would assume Fort Hill's and other teams are in-line with this:

"...Scrimmages are all about film work for your own teams execution. It's not even about scoring points against your opponent to win. It's about working on things that you as a coach want to see. We worked on personnel groupings and ran plays out of different formations to see what we liked. I don't care about final score ever in a scrimmage. I care about tempo, readiness of team to play with physicality, facing different situations..."

For anyone who attended both scrimmages... care to comment on SH as compared to FH opponents?
