What were your initial thoughts when the football season was postponed until the spring?
“I was a little concerned. I love playing football, was ready to play football, so when they said it was postponed, I was scared we wouldn’t play at all. Thankfully, it looks like we will be playing.”
What are your workout plans at this point going forward?
“For now, while we are on campus, I get to the gym 4-5 times a week. There’s a bit of an extended break coming up, so I’ll be going home. When I’m in Windsor, I’ll be doing 6-7 times a week at KPS (King Performance Systems) with all my old teammates.”
What are you trying to improve on the most at this point?
“Being at St James, I’m always trying to improve my academics, and that’s going really good. Physically I’m trying to increase my strength. I was a little light my freshman year at 175lbs, but now I’m up about 10 lbs. When I get home, I’ll be working on speed and agility.”
How do you believe your high school team will be for this upcoming season?
“I think we’ll be a lot more competitive than we were last year. We were young, including myself, so we’ve grown as a team in that area. We’ve also got some new guys this year and that will only make us better on the field. I expect us to do well.”
What sport do you want to play at the college level?
“Without a doubt I want to play football. I love the game and I love where it’s taken me so far. At this point, I don’t see football not in my life, ever. I play baseball too at the varsity level, so I can see myself playing that also.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“None officially. Last year we visited Penn State and that was an incredible experience. I have done virtual tours at Stanford, Memphis, and St Vincent College this season though.”
Have any colleges offered you?
“No not yet.”
What colleges are you trying to visit this fall?
“I have a list, but I’m afraid we won’t be going to any in person though.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Yes, Notre Dame.”
