What were your initial thoughts when the football season was postponed until the spring?
“My initial thoughts when football was postponed until the spring was how could I make the most out of it. I didn’t want to believe it at first, but when reality kicked in and it was finalized, I just realized that I had to use all of this time to my advantage to better myself in every way for the upcoming season.”
What are your workout plans at this point going forward?
“My workout plans going forward were to get as much work in as possible, whether it was at the gym, on the field, or at home.”
What are you trying to improve on the most at this point?
“My main focus of improvement is improving mentally. During the past season, I was easily put down when a play didn’t go the way it should’ve or when I made a bad play. I’m looking forward to strengthening my mentality and becoming more resilient for this upcoming season.”
How do you believe your high school team will be for this upcoming season?
“I believe my team will have a great season. We’ll be more mentally and physically stronger as a team in whole, due to the extra time we have to train.”
What areas do you feel will be keys to having a successful run during the season?
“The area we lacked during the past season was that our mentality wasn’t always the best. In order to have a successful run this season, we’ll have to play physical, keep a strong mentality, and leave everything we have on the field after every single play.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play sports in college. Football is one of the reasons I’d like to go to college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have some interest that I don’t know about yet, but I’m hoping to gain a lot of colleges that will be trying to recruit me after this season.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t really made any trips due to the pandemic, but I did visit Frostburg.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I’m beginning to look more into available trips, but I don’t have any specific school I’m looking at.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up
“Growing up, I’ve always liked the University of Oregon.”
