What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I’ve just been trying to keep doing everything I was doing before the virus like going to the field to get some work in. I’ve been getting out and running about every day and doing as much body weight stuff as possible like pushups and sit ups.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since last season, I feel I’ve got a lot faster and bigger. I’ve gained a lot of muscle mass and been getting my ball security right.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“Before next season, I want to get a little bit faster and get better at catching and running routes out of the backfield. I also want to get better vision so I can hit the holes as soon as they develop.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Corona made things real hard. I’m not going to lie, but it kind of helped also because now I have time to get my work in every day with very little distractions. It would be a little easier if the gyms were open, so I just do what I can do at home.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I think my team will do very good this season. We came off an undefeated season but lost the championship sadly. I think this year we can do the same thing with a better ending to the season this time.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I think the toughest competition on our schedule will be MSJ just because they’re a good team and they gave us the most problems last year in my opinion.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest players will probably be from MSJ. They have a good quarterback, Billy, and they have some good receivers like Donté.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yeah, I hope to play football in college at a high level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I don’t have any offers yet, but I’ve spoken to a few coaches like Maryland, Temple, and a few others. There is nothing serious though as we are just introducing ourselves really, but I hope to get a few offers soon.”
Have you made any college trips yet
“No, not yet. I’ve been to Maryland one time, but it wasn’t anything serious.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“No, not right now.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I’ve been planning to go to a few college camps and Rivals camps this summer, but so far most of my camp plans have been cancelled because of Covid-19. I’ll have to wait and see what’s available.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was Maryland. I just used to love watching them and they were the only team I really knew for a while since I’ve lived here my whole life.”
