How has the football season been going for your team?
“So far we are doing good. We just beat Mt Hebron and now have a 3-0 record. But there’s still room for improvement.”
What areas can your team improve on?
“We need to finish off drives with TDs on offense. As for our defense we must try to create more turnovers.”
So can you tell me your thoughts on Wilde Lake?
Wilde Lake runs a Double Wing T offense. So our defense must read our keys and stay in our area of responsibility. If we don't do that they have some athletes that can make some big plays. Our offense must start off fast, which could force Wilde Lake into passing more than what they want. Since this is a Thursday game we must have very good practices this week.
What are the keys for your team to be successful?
“The entire team must stay on one accord. Offensively, we must continue to start off fast and not miss a beat. Defensively, we have to force more turnovers and strive to keep teams off the scoreboard.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Quite a few schools have been showing me interest from all levels. From Div-1, I received game invites from St Francis, Sacred Heart, Wagner and Drake. From Div-2, I received game invites from the D2 National Champs NorthWest Missouri St, Truman St (Missouri), West Alabama, West Texas A&M, Shippensburg (Pa), Western State Colorado University, Wayne St (Neb), Kentucky Wesleyan, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Midwestern St (Tx). From Div 3, I received many game invites, some are Frostburg St, Stevenson, Averett (Va), University of Chicago, Illinois College, Grove City (Pa), Mount Union (OH), SUNY-Maritime, Washington and Jefferson College. I’ve even received game invites from NAIA schools Kentucky Christian, Saint Mary (Kansas), Point University (Georgia), Lindenwood University (Missouri), Benedictine College (Kansas) and others”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“In my position, it’s too early in the process to say who is recruiting the hardest.”
Do you have any plans for fall game day trips?
“I haven’t made that decision yet. Depends on my football schedule.”
