What have you been doing as of late with offseason workouts?
“I've been focusing on strengthening my legs and upper body so I can become more physical in the run game when I need to. I do some kind of workout every day, except Fridays.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I didn't start playing football until 8th grade and that year I played the offensive line. The game is still new for me and I've worked hard to catch up to guys who've been playing since they were really young. My vision has improved and I'm more decisive now. I've worked on my balance and have added some new cuts to my running style. I still have a lot to learn and am excited to keep learning.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I will be playing both ways this season, so I hope to get better at using game footage to understand our opponent. Of course, I want to improve my speed and continue to develop my strength.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I already have offers from Johns Hopkins and Washington and Lee, and Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Amherst, Bowdoin, Davidson, and a few other high academic D3 schools continue to contact me.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Outside of football, I've done academic visits to Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Princeton and Columbia so far.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Unfortunately, my schedule is too tight with the season right around the corner.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I've been focusing on getting in front of schools with strong academic programs, so this June I attended camps at Stanford, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, and Columbia. I know I improved each week and by the end I felt really good about my showing. I've received interest from a lot of the coaches who were at those camps.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Stanford.”
