What were your initial thoughts when the football season was postponed until the spring?
“At first, I was disappointed but then I told myself everything happens for a reason so I was going to use that time to keep preparing and grinding so that I can ball out all season.”
What are your workout plans at this point going forward?
“My work out plan now is at least 4 times week I get my lifts in so that I can still continue to get stronger.”
What are you trying to improve on the most at this point?
“I’m trying to get more takeaways this year for sure. Everyone knows I can come up and make a play now. I want to be the biggest impact player on the team.”
How do you believe your high school team will be for this upcoming season?
“I got high expectations for my team. We all work hard and make sure we all are doing what we’re supposed to be doing.”
What would be your thoughts if the state changed their mind regarding fall football?
“Like I said before everything happens for a reason and I know life is going to throw curve balls. It’s all about how I respond, and my response will be to continue to work and get my name out there more.”
What areas do you feel will be keys to having a successful run during the season?
“Knowing our assignments, using the techniques that I’ve worked on over the past year, and being focused will definitely be key to this season.”
What sport do you want to play at the college level?
“I want to continue playing football and also possibly get back into track.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Before everything shut down, I was getting looks from a variety of schools, but recently only D3 schools have been looking at me. I’m appreciative of them continuing to contact and looking at me during this time.”
Have any colleges offered you?
“Yes, I have multiple D3 roster spots at schools like Dickinson and Trinity but I’m still trying to get out there more because I know I can compete at any level.”
What colleges are you trying to visit this fall
“I’m not sure right now because there’s certain protocols for every state. Plus, since the season is on now, I was going to wait to see colleges.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up, I’ve always had an interest in two schools, and they are Duke and Wake Forest.”
