How did the high school football season go overall?
“We had a challenging season due to some last-minute coaching changes a week before the season started, but we made the most of it and rallied together as a team. For me personally, the season went extremely well making 1st Team All-County and All-Conference as well as Defensive MVP with 90 tackles and 58 solo over 8 games”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I train and weight lift typically 5 days a week at Spartan Sports & Wellness with Bill Ackmen and another two days a week working on speed and agility with my trainer Nick Farmer. I’ve been with them over a year now and I really trust them to help me develop. I also attend Storm Wrestling Club at least once a week which keeps me in good cardio shape and helps me with movement overall.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I would like to be more explosive and destructive in gaps causing more disruption during plays and big hits for losses. I am watching film and studying the game. I think I can do more of that to improve as a player.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We still haven’t named a head coach this upcoming season, so the verdict is still out on that. Nevertheless, I trust my teammates and despite the uncertainty, I think we will work hard to win games.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think Elkton High School has a great program and a lot of talented players returning. They will be the team to beat in our conference. They are well coached and disciplined and just came off a State Championship run.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“My dream has always been to play football in college, and I’ve been working very hard to make that dream my reality both on and off the field. While there are a lot of great schools out there, Wake Forest University would be my dream school. I loved the campus, the football facilities and team, and pretty much everything about the school when I visited last year, but I’m keeping my options open and will continue to put in the work.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“It’s still a little early for me. I’m 15 and a sophomore in the Class of 2022 so this season is big for me. I think I’ve done a good job of getting my name out there so time will tell. Making varsity and starting as a freshman helps, but I think my 4.375 GPA goes a long way too. Hopefully, my play and work ethic has gotten some attention.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I started visiting colleges last year from all three divisions. It has been Lock Haven to Wake Forest, but I feel I’m fully capable of playing at the Division 1 level.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, this year I’m planning on concentrating my efforts on Division 1 schools with hopefully some invites. I’d like to go to JMU, Duke, Wake Forest again, Yale, the University of Delaware, and as many Ivy League, Patriot League and FCS schools that I can.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was probably Navy. My pop was in the Navy and my dad a Marine. They both take me to games and I always love it. I’ve also always loved watching Michigan State for some reason.”
