Well, okay I get it. But this year - for what it's worth - we can see that Allegany is currently rewarded for its tougher schedule both in national rankings as well as its current position atop 1A West.

For the record, Hansel didn't bitch and moan last year about having to play FH twice. He just went out and grabbed Dunbar as a season opener. When Alco lost to CR he didn't bitch and moan about the system.

These numbers, as always, are fluid and Alco remains a significant underdog to FH.

Does anyone know what FH and ALCO point totals would look like if they both hadn't lost?? Just curious...

I see Fort Hill fell in state poll clear to 16th. Ouch. They lose to FCA (a pretty good team) and fall 10 spots. BUT, in my opinion, they are now right about where they belong. When they were #6, that was way too high. I think Fort Hill is a top 20 team in Maryland but I'd keep them around 15-20.

Before this this yanked onto a "who pays attention to polls" conversation. Let me be clear. Polls are for the fans. Polls are just somebody's option of teams that most of the voters have never seen play. Polls carry no merit on the field where all things are decided.

On a sad note, The season is all but over. Where the hell did it go?
