What happend to the Will's Mountain Cloggers?

They are facing a 3 year football ban from the PIAA for using illegal footwear and performance enhancers. Apparently there was something in that Hyndman Train Derailment smoke that drifted up the Valley to Wills Mountain's Dance School and was inhaled by the dancers. Several have tested positive for unidentified substances, but CSX says "don't worry, there's nothing to see here, take this gift certificate good for desserts for a year at Hobo's Restaurant and be happy."

Sadly Will's Mtn will not be fielding a varsity squad this season. The real truth of the matter is after last season's near loss at home, Paw Paw requested an investigation into the Cloggers program. Refosco and Delawder complained to the 1/2a governing body that WMSD had students from Hyndman, Pa playing. Paw Paw and 1/2a are in cahoots with CSX and are using the derailment as a way to limit the number of out of district permits to students, saying there aren't enough hotel rooms available to accommodate players. As a result WMSD doesn't have enough students to field their their traditional sized squad and have chosen to focus on their lower grade teams until next season.

The good news is current WMSD Varsity players have been given the green light by the MPSSAA to play in Howard County, it now looks like Centenniel HS will have enough players to field a varsity team because of the transfers. Also WMSD will be fielding a freshman team and are taking on Fort Hill at little Homecoming this year. The Cloggers are already favored in this match up by 4 touchdowns.
