No moral victories on Homecoming

Allegany had a great game plan and should be proud holding fh to 17 points. They played hard to the very end. Game Two will be interesting! You can almost count on it happening. As for Fort Hill, they got out coached and out played. In plain modern English they where lucky to escape with a win. But then again winning teams have a streak of luck!

After a few hours at the victory kegger, this is what you expect. Just tell 'em to stick it.

Winning teams find ways to win. Underdogs find ways to make it interesting. Rivalries change everything. They all were who we thought they were.

IMO, Alco has a big task next week getting past Boonsboro. And FH needs to not look past a scrappy Northern team. I personally dont want a rematch...especially considering what happened the last time FH won homecoming 17-7. No thank you.

The only question will be if either team has a letdown. The Allegany offense can stumble and bumble, but I don't see anyway their defense will collapse. I wouldn't be surprised if they shut Boonsboro out. I also didn't see any Alco injuries, though I wish they got their kicker back.

Ugh, what happened after the last 17 - 7.

2009. FH wins HC 17-7.

Alco won the rematch and the west region.

IMO, that year was different tho. Alco and FH were two more evenly matched teams. Alco had some injuries (Wharton) and played badly in Homecoming and lost by 10. Flip side, in the rematch Alco played well and FH had a critical injury (Sibley).

This year, Alco played an excellent game plan at Homecoming and came up short, in spite of that. They would need to play equally good if theres a rematch, and hope that FH makes a few more mistakes. I dont think the teams are quite as evenly matched this year as they were in 2009.

In 2009 we had the 8-3 Campers upsetting the 11-0 Sentinels but your right they were pretty evenly matched. I think JD Hook had a bad homecoming then played much better in the playoff game. I agree the teams are'nt as evenly matched this yr.
