This isn’t western md or football, but it is MD high school sports and interesting since this is the slow time for the forum. New Hope Academy girls basketball team from Landover Hills MD beat the #1 girls basketball team in the country from Miami in the National Tournament.

They were here and won the BW Girls Tournament, they have a very good team.

New Hope went on to beat St. John's of DC to win the championship. LaLumiere lost to IMG in the final of the boys tournament, so they nearly had both national champions playing in the BW gym this year.
