Can't wait for Thursday and Friday. Best two days of the year for sports hands down. Especially since they made it that you could see every game on cable tv.

Maryland gets #6 seed in the East Region. If they are somehow able to reach the Sweet 16 they would have that game and the regional final game in Washington DC. That would be pretty sweet. I thought they would get a #7 seed following their first game loss in the Big Ten tournament. They would have been better off if they did get that #7 seed. I see them losing in the first round to the winner of the Belmont/Temple game.

If Maryland plays their game and goes inside out with Fernando and Smith continues to play well they "should" win the first one but LSU is tough, don't see them winning that one.

No real complaints about the rest of the tourney, looking forward to the upsets in the first two days. Mid majors got some high seeds this year with Buffalo a 6, Wofford a 7, Utah St and Nevada up in the 8 range as well

Terps showed something today. Belmont showed me something as well. They are very well coached. Didn't like the final decision by Belmont coach to hold for one shot when your down 1. Much rather go with more time on clock for chance at Offensive rebound as well as having more time on clock in event of miss or turnover. Turgeon survives another year I guess.

I disagree with you. Like many other games this year, the Terps didn't come to play to start the game, and all you ever here Turgeon say is "I didnt see that coming. I thought we were ready to play the game." He clearly doesn't know how to read a team. He lit into them at halftime and they come out and take a 8-point lead. But just as quickly as they got that lead they gave it back up. He is a decent to good coach. Great recruiter. But he will never get us where we want to be. Where we need to be. Where we should be. Maryland is a Top 10 to 15 program nationally. I can list on one hand the number of great wins since he has been here. And I dont have to go far up that hand to do so.

Cowan going 2-16 or whatever is what kills them. Turgeon isn't a great coach but he didn't make Cowan miss 14 shots. Jalen Smith really stepped up though, finally showing some of that 5 star potential. The game against LSU should be interesting, I think LSU wins but the Terps are capable.

We can agree to disagree. I value your opinion. And I certainly agree that Cowan not playing well hurts the Terps. I don't see the Terps winning the LSU game. They will lose by 10 to 15. I'll be rooting them on. Hopefully they can pull the upset and head to DC next weekend in prep for more games and not just back to school.

Have to give Turgeon credit. I can not remember a time when he made such a big in-game adjustment as he did today. Terps were down 15 and it was getting ugly. He changed to zone and it got them back in the game. Sad to see a game end like that but happy with the fight the Terps showed.

Make a few more free throws and they would be in the Sweet 16 but to fight back from 15 down to have the lead with a minute left was great to see. Would have been great to play a Sweet 16 game in DC. Loved the fight in this year's team. If everyone comes back that is expected to the only major piece they lose is Bruno Fernando and although he has had a really good year the team is stocked for a nice season next year as well.

We still have one more day left of the second weekend and it has already been the better weekend of games. Both games that involved Purdue were awesome. Carson Edwards was a joy to watch. Got to give it to Virginia. They toughened up in OT and held on. Hopefully the games tomorrow are just as good as tonight's were. Also, if Michigan State and Kentucky could win it would be awesome. That would give me all the teams in the Final Four still alive in my bracket. I have a feeling that Auburn and Duke are going to win though.

I've never been a duke hater but I'm leaning towards teams that have juniors and seniors on them now. Not disappointed to see the one and doners at duke not even get to the final four...just my perspective. I wouldn't mind there being no one year mandatory rule and just let them do what they want. I would like it if a school invests in a player with a scholarship that person play for four years. So what if the really great players go to the nba. I was at almost every game Bob Kirk coached and there was no greater entertainment than a Saturday night at the Garden...and those players were not going pro. It was about getting to know the young men, their stories, their families, their progress...and that was only two years..four would've been even better!
