MPSSAA Class 1A Week 5 Point Totals

The MPSSAA really screwed these point totals up for Week 5. All that money raised last year from post-season play in 6 classes did not afford them an employee to run point totals. Whew, not sure how much else is wrong with the other classes.

For the record heading into the Fort Hill vs. Mtn Ridge game the point totals are as follows:

Fort Hill - 33 win points, 11 bonus points, 8.80 avg.
Mtn Ridge - 30 win points, 12 bonus points, 8.40 avg.

I thought the same thing with the bonus points for Ridge. 5 from Frankfort, 3 from ALCO, 2 from Catoctin, 1 from Smithsburg, and 1 from Southern, for a total of 12.

Also they have Northern with 9 bonus points. I have a hard time believing that is right considering they only have 2 wins, against Albert Gallatin and Mount Union PA.

Another is ALCO with 17 win points. Shouldn't they have 18 win points because they have 3 wins.

Ironically similar...if the playoffs started today based on the current point totals one can foresee an exact replication of last year.

Northern at FH
Alco at Mtn Ridge

Alco at Mtn Ridge would be interesting. We could take a poll before the game as to if they will shake hands after the game or not.

Seriously, I think that the up coming Alco/ Northern match up will determine week 2 pairings.

The only thing tonight's FH vs Mtn Ridge game represents is who wears the home jersey in Annapolis
