I just wanted to take some non-football time to wish all Mountain Ridge teams luck as they continue in their respective tournaments.

Girls soccer plays in State Semifinal this afternoon. Girls Volleyball plays in the State Semifinal on Tuesday evening at 5pm.

Cross Country is competing today at Hereford.

Football gets back at it on Friday night in the State Quarterfinals.

yeah they looked pretty good, I haven't watched a Volleyball game in about 20 years but seen earlier it was on NFHS so I tuned in and stayed glued to it, pretty good match for sure

I watched them play at Allegany just a few weeks ago. I must say that I am shocked that they are playing for a state championship. Allegany who is not traditionally good at volleyball beat them easily in three straight sets. It really wasn't even close.

The Lady Miners have definitely been up and down this year. A fairly young team, with no seniors, and the fact that nobody really played any meaningful games the past two seasons, these girls started to gel at the right point of the season, (the post season, lol). They will definitely have their hands full tomorrow evening against Williamsport, a volleyball powerhouse so to speak.

I believe Williamsport swept Smithsburg this year. 3-0 in the regular season and then 3-0 in the region final. I read somewhere that Williamsport has won 15 volleyball state titles.
