Keyser scared to play FH

Bridgeport is moving up to 3A in WV next year. Keyser should keep Bridgeport on their schedule as it will be more potential points given the WV ratings system than putting FH in that spot if open weeks ever matched up. Both games are most likely losses for Keyser every year so the shot at more ratings points favors keeping Bridgeport. However, the gate money would be more with a FH game at either venue. With the hype coming out of Keyser this year the gate would have been as large or larger than the FH-ECP game whether played at Keyser or Fort Hill.

It really helped Keyser by not playing FH, they still got blown out in the second round.

Here it is... the hand-'n-hand playoff walkovers followed by bashing of teams that don't play FH. It would be nice that some self awareness would set in. Never does. Never will. Can't just be happy with what God gives you.

I guess when everything becomes a yawner then tub-thumping over nothingness sets in. Ride the bench... beat Allegany... beat true 1A rural schools in the playoffs that have no crosstown middle schoolers to latch onto... get the ring (unless Dunbar)... tub-thump.... circle-jerk... on to next year.

Lag whether Keyser played FH or not they were going lose in the second round. Being 30 minutes away there is no reason not to play them especially when they play them at every level before highschool. Keyser said it will help them in the playoffs, but it did not the result was the exact same whether they played or didn’t play.

They have a reason. That's why they don't. Maybe it's because of their home field advantage and not wanting a guaranteed loss. I dunno. Maybe they don't like their beer drinking fans getting pulled over by a FH grad constabulary when driving home (just tossing that in for funzies).

It doesn't matter. Though, I can speculate that if the game were generally more competitive they would play FH. Over time, it isn't. This fodder always comes up in this forum when the latest FH playoff blowout isn't worth discussing.

Maybe start a thread next time praising all the individual efforts and heroic challenges the team faced getting by the latest playoff challenge. Oh... right.. there wasn't any.
