Mark Manges? Or, let me rephrase this, by the time it is all said and done, will Nathaniel Graves be considered the best Fort Hill Quarterback since Mark Manges? Manges was an All-American and ended up on the cover of Sports Illustrated, so, I'm not saying he's as good as Manges, of course he is not. But, can anyone honestly tell me that he might not be the best overall Fort Hill Quarterback since Mark Manges. Post Hare and Manges, Fort Hill has never really been a Quarterback school, running backs yes, but not QB's.

How good is this kid? He looked amazing throwing the ball tonight (for a Fort Hill QB), and he is so dang tough running the ball. He makes the tough runs, gets the tough yards. This kid is special, what a talent.

love everything about the kid. He is tough, can throw the ball in a window, accurate, a leader. People are starting to see why so many were so high on him before he played this year.

He is a great kid to boot. He has the making of something special. The whole team really stood up and created an identity for themselves shadowed in the past 2 years success.

Does anybody know why this kid wasn't the starter from the beginning? There were a lot of comments on other threads about he should've been the starter all along, but nobody ever said why he wasn't? If it was so obvious to everybody I'm just curious why the change was made so early in the season. It was obviously the right move but did the original starter really look so horrible against Keyser that everything changed so quickly?

This kid is everything that people are saying. His big drawback is he thinks that he is 270 pounds, and he certainly hits like it too. I got the feeling at the beginning of the season that the Coaches were concerned about injuries. Some of you may know that as a soph, Graves was injured. If he would have been healthy, he would have been on the Varsity for their final run to the title. Then there was the question of where he would do the team the most good, with the coaches not wanting to play him both ways. Defense was the first choice. As it worked out, Graves is the QB, and Fort Hill found themselves with a tall WR who can catch anything thrown his way . The really great thing here is that all these kids continue to understand and accept their roles on this team. It's something that Todd and staff has been able to accomplish over the last few years, and when you're talking about kid's egos, that's no easy thing to do.

Now the question, is he the best qb since Bechtel, Hare, and Manges, well, that remains to be seen, but he certainly is on his way.
