The Louisa County Lions, out of small town Mineral, VA (epicenter of that big 2011 earthquake), does it even better. Sherando played Louisa this year, and has played them in the playoffs twice. Our stadium is called The Jungle. We have fireworks at the entrance tunnel that shoot when the team enters, separate fireworks in the distance, a cannon we shoot when we score, a lion statue the students made that breathes fire when we score, real live lions (though PETA complained after eight years of doing it, so we stopped), one of the best pep bands in the land, skydivers who bring in the game ball, and a field that's been voted the best grass field in the country, each for football and soccer!
