But you have to remember 2A football was only good when Fort Hill was a 2A school. That's the only time people like PowerRam and TheProcess say any other teams at 2A were good.

And... in all those years Alco played the bigger school across town. And... because FH could not win in its own class it bragged about having occasionally beaten the smaller school across town.

And now, the ultimate sad is the red-jackets posting here, who could not get the championship ring in their own time, find some kind of piddly-ass solace bashing a school that has trouble fielding a team because parents are shoveling their kids to FH for a piddly-ass 1A ring.

I graduated from Alco in 68. My graduating class beat FH. Now, Cumberland is a boarded-up shell where folks try to insure their young men get something... anything. That means doing whatever is necessary to see that their male child gets the only thing they can pretty much hope to get: a 1A ring. Drive up and down the streets some time.
