Geno Taylor

I know he could turn it into a Program. He currently coaches Braddock Warriors but has been working with the youth in Frostburg

I don't know what the ruling is on that. I do know that Fort Hills bowling coach and jv baseball head coach don't teach.

Teachers get first dibs... If Mr. Joe Schmo who knows nothing about the game applied he would get the job over nick saban if he was a teacher in the system. If no teacher in the system wants the job then whoever is hired needs to take and pass course work to obtain a coaching certificate in their sport. They also need to take a care and prevention course.

Geno is a good friend of mine and he has a passion for the game. I think he would make an exceptional coach on any level.

I don't know the current rules in Allegany County, but I do remember a few years ago several jurisdictions established rules that coaches also had to be teachers. Then after they couldn't find enough coaches they "walked" those rules back.

If you know Geno, you have to like him. As far as the kids go, they love him. Unfortunately I don't think we'll see Geno coaching in the public school system anytime soon. It's a shame because in this case, everyone looses.

If by some fluke he would get the MR spot, the team would again be competitive with FH and Alco.

I don't know Geno's history nor would I discus it on here even if I did. From a personal view I love Geno to death. He's just a good guy and you just like the man. It would be a great addition to Mt Ridge or Allegany for that matter.
