In all the hype of the Ft Hill - CP game it was lost that FSU went to Fairmont and won in 2OT 41-34 against the team picked to finish 2nd in the preseason poll.

FSU is 3-1 in their first season at the D2 level and has continued the success they had in the previous few years in D3. The bobcats are running a program that the local area should really take more notice of and should also be an attractive option for local kids talented enough to play at that level and want to stay close to home.

They only lost to WV State by three points in the Wk 1 opener. A 51 yard FG fell short on their last drive with 17 seconds to go. FSU was up 17 to 6 at one point and had two goal line stands in the 4th Qtr but shot themselves in the foot when a snap event by the QB’s head after stoping WV State on the 1 yard line. FSU’s offense put up 352 yards but the defense gave up 517.

They are off to a good start in the D2 MEC. I have been to the first 2 home games that were on Thursday Nights. I was told they moved a future Saturday game to a Thursday night.
