Fort Hill has only had two days to practice this week as school was cancelled today. And if they do anything tomorrow morning they may watch some films. Otherwise this is the second most important week of practice of the season,and also the shortest.
The FH kids are focused and not buying the hype that this should be a blowout. They are particularly aware of Major. I think they'll do well.

Interesting tho saw on social media kid from another team told a boy from Surrattsville hope yall win, Im tired of seeing these rich white kids win lmao, no idc about the color thing, I just didnt know Cumberland or FH was a rich area/school...
Not to bring up old cheese, but the comments at last year's championship still linger: all the patter about the mountain folks and how sturdy the players were from walking around the hills and all. They loved the close up of someone with a beard. I was waiting for the comment about indoor plumbing....
Still, the thing so striking were the Douglas stylish 'free' uniforms paid for by the Ravens. And here was FH in it's old school conservative duds. They don't understand what blue collar, hard scrabble means.

I totally agree with you about the announcers. I thought the entire theme of their descriptions of Western Maryland folks and inuendos were tasteless and totally demeaning; both personally and to the area as a whole.
The two "announcers" were so obviously biased that it was hard to listen their crap more than once. It did not seem like they did anything to hide their bias, or give any kind of balance. I just hope they are replaced with professional commentators. Probably unlikely, believe I have heard these guys in previous years.
Too bad MPSSA can't seem to get much right. Every year I watch the Florida football playoffs, and I guarantee they are much more balanced and professional.

After watching film last year's game footage again Surrattsville mistakes kept FH in the game early. Not saying the outcome would have been different. It could have been closer had Surrattsville not screwed up so much.
Im unfamilar with Surratsville being considered "undisciplined"...especially in the sense of getting overly chippy. Thought they've always run a respectable program. Mistakes and jitters might happen, possibly even caused by FHs aggressive defense. But I dont foresee anything less than good sportsmanship.
It was posted on one of the kids Twitter page. Thats where u get to see all the good trash talk. I remember Doug actually wanting to fist fight last year lmfao
Well, the Washington Post has proven they are nothing but racist pigs... They libeled FH, and the town of Cumberland, and never retracted their statements when the "allegations" couldn't be substantiated. I take no faith in anything the WP writes.

If the Above comments about me Im not upset about them at all! I didn't grow up around here if thats what you're referring too, so the comments from the announcers last year dont bother me. The trash talk was on sicial media and it DOES matter to the kids. It made them that much more pissed off last year and I hope it does the same again!
