They had a lengthy discussion last night about this on WCBC. MPSSAA has ordered that starting with this week's games, in preparation for playoffs, there will be a 6-man crew at each game. I believe they said there will be two side judges, one on each side of the field, a back judge, an umpire, a head ref, and a line judge. Correct me if I have those positions incorrect. You have to say that our refs generally do a very good job and very rarely decide the outcome of a homecoming game (or any games for that matter). I remember just one instance where they caused chaos (the Raley blocked punt returned for a TD that wasn't allowed, like 1990? Do I have that story semi-right?). I'm not saying there weren't others, just can't recall any others.
