FH FOOTBALL

What WV team from the Martinsburg area would play FH? All their schedules are full! Whatchoo smokin' man?

I know that the Dogs had their schedule done before December's Championship game

Lets hope not...

Unless the others are good pickups. They cant ALL be top tiers. Dont lose sight of that.

If FH picked up Martinsburg, SJC, and Westinghouse...focus more on Martinsburg and SJC, not Westinghouse, ya know?

*I know they didnt pick up those two...just saying...at least let's see what's what.

Well of course under those circumstances I hope no one would focus on Westinghouse... You're stating the obvious by presenting hypothetical improbabilities... The likelihood of that happening is slim to none... I'm going with 9 cream puffs 1 average team and a bunch of excuses per usual.. So here's to "hoping not"

FH picked up Hundred WV for the last spot. This will guarantee them a playoff spot according to the MPSSAA.

If this was for the 10/13 date, WV board has Hundred playing Hancock on that date. Only dates Hundred had open are 9/29 and 10/27.

I'm sure he was joking. They are one of the worst teams in the Country. Hancock is 60 points better than Hundred lol.

Lol. Ed the score only ended by 45 points because of the score situation, substitutes, play calling with the big lead etc. They could have beat them by more than 60.

TD, please settle this for me. Did Southern & Fort Hill talk about scheduling each other or not? Is it true or not true, that they could not get a date set up? Thanks for any info on this.

FH and Southern talked back in early November. We could not get a date set up for 2017 at the time. But Southern did ask about a game, and FH asked for more than just a 2 year contract. It sounded like Southern was willing to go with that. This was all during the heat of the FH playoff run. Southern had only one week open at the time. I believe it was Week 8 where FH also had Sherando. And FH and Sherando were also in talks about another game. Southern could not wait on an answer as they had other options. That is the logical move with scheduling that any coach or AD would make. You can only keep another team on hold for so long.

Southern AD Matt Redinger and I have become very good friends the last 5 years or so. I bounce many things off of him and hopefully vice-versa that are related and unrelated to football. Despite him being a Duke and Notre Dame fan I have been able to look past all that. LOL. Using hindsight I wish we (mostly myself) would have just pushed all the other options off the table and just got this 2017 deal done. Maybe something will work out for 2018.
