Maddox was an outstanding youth league player in the area before going to Morgantown. As a freshman he is playing very good football at the qb position. He had good games recently against Martinsburg and Parkersburg South.

Glad to hear that he's getting pt, but what has he done that's been special? I haven't seen any stats to judge his progress, but the Dogs pounded them something like 51 to 14. I know that one of Morgantown's TDs was a run, but the bottom line is that they were really never in the game. Let's give this kid a chance to grow and develop before we put him under the microscope.

The score was actually 21-14 then right before the half Martinsburg kicked a field to go up 24-14 at the half. The first half was competitive, Maddox threw for a long pass for a 60 yard TD and threw a short pass that they ran it in for the other TD. He had a couple good runs from the qb spot. Morgantown beat Parkersburg South 28-14, he played a good game. He definitely don’t look like a freshman, he looks like one of the better players on the field. Against Parkersburg South he ran 14 times for 168 yards and 1 TD. Against Martinsburg he was 5 for 10 passing for 117 yards and 2 TD.

Thank you, now you gave me something to go by. He is getting to be that size that coaches drool over, and the varsity reps will pay off down the road. If he was closer, it would be fun to watch him.

Twigg is very impressive. Good athlete and can throw a good ball. He’s got a strong chance to be a D1 kid.

I don’t understand why he’d move to Morgantown to play HS ball though. I assumed he/his family wanted to play in a more modern offense with a better chance to air it out. Why then transfer to another school running the wing t, albeit a more gun based version then what he’d have gotten at Frankfort? That is purely speculation on my part though.

He likely wants to play at WVU.

His dad operates Fusion Steakhouse in Morgantown. Also, it is a good step towards attending WVU.
