Dunbar vs. Poly game cancelled for tonight

Apparently Poly got into a brawl with Mervo last week and so this week's game for Poly at Dunbar, which was set for Thursday at 5:00, has been cancelled. I'm going to assume it will be a forfeit win for Dunbar but I'm not positive.

It seems like there have been an unusual amount of fights at Maryland high school football games the past 16 months, especially in Baltimore. Not sure what gives.

At least somebody didn't get shot... unless there was the usual drive-by later that we don't know about. Shame, really.

There are brawls and fights every week at games , it's not just a Baltimore thing, the Hampshire game last week was another sad example

When you have the type of sideline conduct like they do in Baltimore it's no surprise how many fights break out

To be fair, despite the abhorrent sideline behavior that is permitted on the Dunbar sidelines during the Mervo games I don’t recall seeing anything last year where the players were the reason the game was halted. It was overcrowding and unruly people refusing to accept the fact that the gate was shutdown, at capacity, and all hell broke loose.

Per Neutral over on the Moco board, the brawl last week was between Poly and Lake Clifton and both teams forfeited their games yesterday. Is Lake Clifton still a conglomeration of different City schools? I thought at one point Lake Clifton had closed but they were still playing sports under the name as a combination of a few schools.

Just the Reach Partnership School at the moment. Supposed to be relocating before next school year so the Lake Clifton campus can be renovated
