Does it hurt or help your team to play a 0-8 team the week before Homecoming?

Im talking about Allegany taking on the winless Brunswick Railroaders.. I would rather be facing a tougher team to prepare more for FH. Do they rest most of their key starters to avoid injuries or does the extra rest hurt??? I think its gotta hurt playing such a horrible team the week before the big one..

Who would have known Brunswick would be this bad? When scheduling teams it's a chance you take I suppose.

I would be more concerned that the last 4 out of 5 Alco opponents have posted a 3-26 overall record (and a really bad 3-26 at that) with Northern being the toughest thing seen in that 6 week span.

The game speed, size and competition level won't be nearly the same come Nov 7. Alco hasn't seen anything remotely close since getting dumped 42-0 by Keyser back in September.

Probably not a positive thing, no.

Coach Lattimore (Charlie) beleive in a hard game before Alco. That's why you would see teams like Gaithersburg, Sherwood there in the 9th spot.

Lattimore would also schedule a couple of weak teams so underclassman could get some playing time.

I'm sorry your right they played them the sixth game. It was Georgetown prep , Sherwood or Calvin Coolidge.
