7 on 7 is a constant coach/player workout the entire summer. This seems like nit-picking. They should have received maybe a first offense warning - unless this is not a first offense.
They were already on probation for the locker room incident last year and this was an organized, full team practice run by the varsity coaches on a Sunday while spring sports were still going on. That's like at least 3 MPSSAA violations right there. I'd say they probably brought the hammer down more because doing all that while they were already on probation and under increased scrutiny looks like they're thumbing their noses at both Montgomery County Public Schools and the MPSSAA.

Exactly many teams are practicing in all sports from middle school up. Forfeiting the game only hurts the student players who are being punished, but didn’t make the decision
