No. 2 Franklin (12-1, 10.40) vs. No. 1 Damascus (13-0, 12.40)
On Damascus:
With an elite defense that has not allowed more than fifteen points all season
and the playmakers needed to get into the end, Damascus has had a much better
season than many realize. This club is undefeated and rode Jake Funk to a
dominating semifinal victory.
On Franklin: The defending champions
have had much higher expectations this fall and have lived up to them following
a season opening loss to Calvert Hall. The Indians have Division I talent
all across their roster and those playmakers have pushed this club to twelve
straight victories.
Prediction: Franklin 21, Damascus 17
Why: The
sheer amount of playmakers at Franklin. Damascus appears to be a year away.
