Yes, I'm going to be that guy, that obnoxious Fort Hill fan that thinks his Sentinel's are world beaters. Dismiss what i'm saying if you want, but look at the facts, look at what Fort Hill has now and in the pipeline, look at what this coaching staff has been doing lately in developing talent, look at other regional competitition, look at competiition in the rest of 1A. How can you not say it's possiible, if not probable that they build on winning the last 2 state championships by winning the next 3 or 4, or at least the bulk of the next 3 or 4.

1) 2013
2) 2014
3) 2015 (Who can say they aren't the favorite at this point to win it all)
4) 2016 (Next years team will be better than this years team, they will be unreal)
5) 2017 (Look at the talent this year's sophomore's have, many wil have alot of experience)
6) 2018 (They're pretty good and will have a dominant Junior class behind them (this year's Patriots)
7) 2019 (Dominant 8th grade Pariots, way too early to tell)

A lot can happen, these things are not gauranteed as we all well know. But, how can you say it isn't possible? Thoughts?

Sometimes I wish the Dunbar Poets were still 1A. Payback for those loses in 94, 06, 08 and 10 would feel pretty good!

I am slightly embarrassed by your post lettuce man. Love the outlook but slow down my red brother.

Ohhh.. Coach Appel would shake his head at your post. Wouldn't be happy at all. Lol

Of course he would, but I'm just a fan, not a coach or a player. As a fan, which is short for fanatic, I can express my views as I choose, lol.

The fact that you are only slightly embarassed tells me the thought has at least crossed your mind. Again, I am not a coach or a player, just a fan. My words do not come from nor are they endorsed by Coach Appel, his fellow coaches, or players, my words come from and are endorsed only by me and the guy who rides the horse onto the field down at Sherando.

Ok good. Thought maybe you missed it. Hamspear finally surfaced. I kindly thanked him for the locker room material.

They are set up for a possible long run but one thing that stands out to me about them, for the most part, Ft Hill seems to always be able to stay, somewhat, injury free. I know they lost their FB this year for a couple games but he is now back. Just the # of players that are in the program also helps with injuries. At this point, if you want to model a program, that's' the one you have to look @. No intentional knocks on the other programs in the area, just my observations.

Excellent observation, although I am always shocked that of all the players on the sideline, year after year, we have to have our starting qb playing defense. It is hard to believe that nobody is capable of filling that defensive slot except the qb. You are risking injury on every tackle and then you have two spots to fill. Thoughts?

I understand the concern but I believe that comes into play @ the 1A level. Don't want anyone upset with what I'm about to say but larger #'s don't always equal out to more or better talent. What ever level you are on, you have to play your best athletes @ the positions you need them in. All good teams are 1-3 injuries away from a mediocre year.
