Boonsboro 35 Smithsburg 21

This game was moved to last evening due to the weather issues we are in for today. Props to Boonsboro who started the season 1-4 and ended the regular season on a 4 game winning streak which included wins over 3, 3A schools (Towson, North and South). Now I know these aren’t world beater programs by any means, but with how poorly Boonsboro was playing, I wasn’t sure they would win another game! I believe they made a switch at QB which has appeared to give a seemingly anemic offense a spark.

The win should have secured a first round home game as well which is huge, especially with Washington County officiating (just ask the Allegany JV team) 😬

Yeah they left points out there as well due to turnovers in the redzone. Hopefully a winnable game next week against the unknowns...WE would take Allegany Officials any day over ours to be honest....

I wasn’t able to make it up last night, but Linganore has a bye next week so I’m planning on being at the Boonsboro game. I’m not completely sold on any of the Carroll County teams so if Boonsboro can put together a good game or 2, who knows!
