How did the high school football season go overall?
“This 2019 season for Bel Air High School has been an experience that I’ll never forget. We fought through so much adversity and although our 3-6 record to some might mean they didn’t accomplish anything to us as a team and program it has brought us together more than ever. We’ve learned from our loses and mistakes. We’ve put in countless hours, hard work, blood sweat and tears working towards next season, and I can speak for us as a team and say we are very excited and we will be prepared as the 2020 season is approaching.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“This offseason I have put in more work than I ever have before. This is the year where I have realized football is something I want to chase and play at the next level and hopefully build my talent and fulfill my dream to play professionally. God has shown me so many things about myself and has grown me into the athlete I am today. I put full trust in him, and I’ll continue to push myself to the max until I am no longer on this earth.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“As a player I have always tried to be the leader and person my teammates can look up to. I’ve always strived to be the best and build myself around the best. As the 2020 season is approaching, my improvements I can make as a player and a leader is to be more vocal, be a leader in the classroom, and communicate with my coaches more.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“As the 2020 season is approaching, I put full faith in my team. I know my coaches and teammates at Bel Air High will put together a game plan and together as a team we will work and put that game plan into play. Next year we will be playing for more than just football, we’ll be playing for redemption and of course breaking records school wide and state-wide.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Next season will be exciting for sure. I’m proud to be a Bobcat and honored to put on that navy blue and red. I truly believe we can beat anyone that is across from us. I believe we can beat anyone as long as we all move together and we’re all on the same page.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Playing college ball has always been a dream of mine since I was a little boy. I’ve dreamed of those bright Saturday night lights hitting me as I run for that touchdown late in the 4th quarter with 1 second left on the clock. Football has always been my dream. It took me awhile to realize I could actually accomplish that dream with dedication, work, and perseverance.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“This off-season, my recruiting has started to pick up. I’ve gotten mail and camp invites as well as junior day visits from Lebanon Valley College, Grove City College, Stevenson University, Shippensburg University, Lincoln University, Plymouth University, Wingate University, Alvernia University, and Grand View University.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made some campus tours and trips to the University of Maryland and Towson University. Both have very beautiful campuses. I have had some planned this spring, and I’m just hoping this Corona pandemic calms down so I can pursue my recruiting.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I do have a lot more colleges I would love to visit like including Penn State, Richmond, West Virginia, Wake Forest, UConn, and Coastal Carolina. Hopefully that can be done this spring and this fall.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up has always been Penn State. I loved watching the Penn State games as a kid and I’ve always dreamed of being a Nittany Lion one day. My favorite player of all time and the person I highly look up to is Marcus Allen. I always watch his highlight tapes and try to always make sure I have a little Marcus Allen swag going on every game. I pray that God blesses me, and I can take my education and talents to Penn State.”
