Really? I noticed that Dunbar only scored 16 points against Potomac. The game against CR proved two things: first, the loss of certain key Alco players to graduation destroyed what was last year's stellar defense and second, that overall this is not the Refosco-like team a lot of us thought it was.

Maybe your pic is accurate. But don't be surprised of MR scores over 20 points and this game is a lot closer than most people think.

I don't have Mountain Ridge favored in any game they play this year except maybe a toss up with Frankfort and Hampshire.

This game can be no measuring stick. Alco will put 80 points up if they want.

Allegany will be back to their "we beat Dunbar" swagger and chest thumping after this game. They will be back to the "we will beat Fort Hill" posts. Hate to sound like "Korn"....I guess the score will depend on what Allegany team shows up.

It usually takes me two games to make judgments. With Dunbar not being a scoring giant and CR being the same team as last year..... well, that paints a rather stark picture.

This Alco squad reminds me of a 'high hopes' team a few years back - they lost a couple key players but were virtually the same team. Those few players they lost killed them. Allegany does not have the demographics to fill any losses, year to year. They haven't for a long time. This year, Rhodes and Robinette on defense are prime examples.

I am concerned about both Northern and Southern this year. It's really tough if you have to keep making long scoring drives to win because you keep giving up quick touchdowns, turnovers and keep having touchdowns called back.

If Mountain Ridge plays mistake free football they could stay within 14. Other than that, Allegany will win by 28+, as long as they don't make mistakes as well. Miners offense has not clicked so far this year. Maybe they get it together tonight.
