Fort Hill student, football/track athlete Ben Starr has been diagnosed with T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma and is currently at Johns Hopkins Medical Center. He will be a junior this fall.
I wanted to take a moment to thank and commend the Allegany Gridiron club for putting together a car wash tomorrow from 10-1 at the Cracker Barrel in LaVale. All proceeds will be given to Ben and his family. Also the FH Cheerleaders will be holding a car wash from 10-2 with proceeds going to Ben at the Auto Zone in Martins Shopping Center of Cumberland. Stop by and get your car washedn for many reasons!!!!
Felt it was extremely important to point out the Alco Gridiron people for doing this. We are all from the same community despite our Red and Blue petty sports differences. Very touching.
