Was Maryland now a West Virginian
I know lines, Points spreads really dont mean much in High School Football. But been watching Cal Prep predictions the past few weeks with the FH / Prep Game . Very interesting that Cal had Prep beating FH 42-14 weeks 1 thru 3 and now the line is Prep 31-30 over FH. I know a lot of people dont depend or rely on predictions, but looking at a few games past few weeks and comparing to what Cal Preps has ,accuracy has been pretty good. Hoping Cal plays the prediction out and we have one hell of a game Thursday Night. Win or lose, bringing a quality opponent to Greenway to see some good High School Football is what we need. I hope the trend keeps up and we add a few more teams like prep the next couple of years. Win or lose, people in the area are hyped to see an above average team come and give FH a run for there money.

Hmmm, the line is down to 1 point? Interesting.

Cal Preps has FH winning this game by the score of 31-30 over Cathedral on a neutral field. FH should be about 3 or 4 point favorites to win this game.

I havent watched Prep, but from what I've seen of that FH defense Prep should be about a touchdown favorite if we're talking lines.

I think it comes down to FH making open field tackles. If they can make the tackle on the perimeter they will be fine

Gotta say wow on that Ed, that’s some serious AV stuff.Awsome

Okay, So today is Fort Hill film day for myself. Haven't got a chance to see any film on them up to this point. So I'm a little excited to see what to expect. Couple notes from ECP the last 2 weeks. St. Ed's dominated ECP on both sides of the line. This is the smallest the O/D-Line has been in years at ECP. They are athletic, fundamentally sound, just not as big as past teams. The weather in the St. Ed's game really changed the game plans for both teams in my opinion. There was a consistent super strong wind all night with some gust that made passing near impossible. This was a great high school football game that absolutely could of went either way. 21-14 loss for ECP. St Ed's is currently ranked #29 in the Country.

ECP vs Benidictine-I'm not even sure where to start with this game. As always just my opinion. I feel like the team didn't come out ready to play. They beat up on Beni the last 2 years (2017-62-28 ECP, 2018-66-39 ECP) and I think they where expecting the same. However things didn't go as planned. ECP couldn't stop the Beni offense, slowed them down a couple times, but that was about it. ECP gave up 45pts (Most this season to date). This is the first time in a very, very, very long time, I feel like ECP coaching staff was out schemed. Beni coaching staff did a great job on the offensive play calling. They had ECP players running all over the field, tired them out a little, then gashed them for a big plays. ECP QB play was a little suspect and the O-Line had trouble picking up multiple blitzes. I'm not really sure what the deal was with the team last week, but I feel like they just didn't play very good football and it showed. 45-24 Loss for ECP. Some highlights: https://www.erienewsnow.com/clip/14915933/week-5-benedictine-at-cathedral-prep

Looking forward to this game. Rumor around Erie is this game was set up by a new coach on the ECP coaching staff. ECP had holes to fill and Preps head coach said they would play anyone. The new coach on staff had the connections to make this game happen. I hopeful that this match-up can continue forward for years to come.

Thanks so much for stopping by here to share some ECP insight, we love that stuff.

I set this game up with Coach Mischler first week of August. It was obvious both teams were desperate to fill a hole that late. Coach Mischler had actually emailed us a couple of times before I could get FH to agree to play the game. Unfortunately since FH shares the field with another school, 9 sports and two marching bands the county BOE told us we could only have the field Friday afternoon or Thursday evening. We agreed to move the game up to 6:00 pm due to the time travel for ECP on a school night.

Also of note, the return game to Erie in 2020 will be pushed back to October 16...a Friday night at 7:00.

Regardless, of what happens tomorrow. I will mark the weekend for next year and make the road trip for the Erie game. I am sure a few other cats will make the trip as well to watch the Sentinels.

FH has done their homework. This team is on a down yr. FH wouldn't take this game if they thought they might get stomped...I'm not taking the bait, I have FH winning this one.

Down year? CP has won 4 of the past 7 PIAA State Championships in their classification with an additional finalist appearance in this span and have been contenders every year.

They just lost by only 7 points to one of the top programs in the nation two weeks ago.

If CP is in a rebuild year then FH is in a start over year by comparison. As TDHelmick said, FH did not want this game. It was a last minute set up out of need. I love that it happened.

If FH wins this game, it will be up there with the biggest and most important wins in Cumberland football history, including the state championships of both FH and Allegany.

There are very few FH and Alco years that could normally compete with this type of program on an even basis in my observation.

I hope FH can pull it off.

You may not be one of them but there are still some “delusioneers” that are not satisfied that FH has not somehow gotten the MPSSAA to approve scheduling the University of MD. Wait a minute, University of MD lost to Temple, so they must suck, how dare FH consider them.

I’m taking Prep 35-14, and I’m
Honestly giving a little too much credit to the FH program bcuz they’ve grown on me since I’ve lived in the area. But alas I’ll stand on it

Camper like your pick on FH winning this one, just think Prep might have more horses in the stable. Them Playing St.Eds to a final of 21-14 and them being ranked #29 in country. Just dont know. Still going to be a good game to watch. But like you said, FH has done the homework, so this could go either way. Love to see it come down to a King Boot at the end. We shall see. Win or lose, quality game at the stadium.Hoping for a big crowd
