21-14 Williamsport!!!

I believe that Northern was down a key player or two on offense. Maybe NG Huskies Fan can shed some light on that. Not saying that Northern is a great team. But they are a different team when they are at 100%. I was impressed with Williamsport and their toughness against Mountain Ridge. Being down early and they never gave up. They fought back and dominated the middle of that game.
I'm still shocked that Williamsport went into Accident and Beat Northern on a cold night in November. Usually Phil Carr's Teams are Really tough and just pound the ball all night.
I'm guessing Williamsport at FH will be Friday Night 7PM

Williamsport used the run to get back in the game with Mountain Ridge and then used the pass to win the game. They are a much better running team but I don't see that happening against Fort Hill.
I will admit that I turned the game off after Fort Hill was up 14-0 and stopped Brunswick again. I was a little shocked at the 35-21 final considering that. I also heard the announcers say the very same thing on the big plays that Brunswick had early.
I was really worried about their defense going into this game which made me believe that it would be a pretty good one. I don’t think Cumberland has ever seen a stretch of absolutely horrible teams like Fort Hill played all in a row

There's a guy who used to do a really good job coaching outside contain, but he isnt there anymore....
FH has "reloaded" year after year...this isn't about lack of experience in the tenth game of the year, this is about whose in charge of the defense.

I'm not here to argue. I will go back and say again Northern playing the same schedule as Williamsport would have had similar record. If Northern would have not gotten a fluke tipped pass they would have only scored once.......the game was never in question after Williamsport went up 8-6. If that was one of the best teams west of sideling you are in trouble my friend. I've been saying all week I thought Williamsport would beat them based on the size of our their lines and I was correct....they shut the Northern offense down.
Dont know if Williamsport can beat Fort Hill.....will need a perfect game, but I will say I thought Fort Hill was the top team in west, but after seeing them play Brunswick......not so sure Fort Hill can beat Catoctin.......maybe Washington/Frederick county sweep the teams west of Sideling this year?

That is correct beall02, the injuries played a role, and I'd like to see a how far a healthy Northern team would've gone, but still proud of the season the Huskies had, I really don't think anyone expected them to win 8 games this year, which was only the 8th time in school history they've won 8 or more games, so that in itself was a pretty big accomplishment. Hopefully they can stay healthy and can bounce back next year.

Coach Carr does an amazing job every year. When you have a team as small as northern every injury is huge. I picked Williamsport also but if northern was healthy it would have been a great game and quite possibly they would win.
