Decided to take a lot at what are probably the two best teams in 1A South in Gwynn Park and Fairmont Heights. At halftime it’s 15-9 Gwynn Park. Fairmont Heights jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first half on a 30 yard snap into the end zone on a punt and a long run late in the first. After that and the ensuing kickoff was returned for a touchdown, Fairmont has seemed to fall apart from a mental/emotional standpoint arguing amongst themselves despite being very much in the game . Gwynn Park for their part has defended the run decently well (though they are weak up the middle) and rushed the passer extremely well. Fairmont has defended the run but has struggled against the pass when they haven’t gotten to the quarterback.

Beginning of the 4th quarter and GP just scored to make it 23-9 after the conversion with straight power football.

Fairmont responded with their first big pass play but threw an interception at the 5 yard line with 9:04 left.

GP looks like they’ve put it away with a 30 yard run and lead 29-15 pending the point after attempt with 1:54 left.

how do you think gp would match up with dunbar
I think Gwynn Park beats Dunbar at this point and Fairmont probably gives them a good game as well. As hard as it is to say though I don’t think they beat Fort Hill but it would be a decent game. Fairmont probably wouldn’t have a chance against Fort Hill and might get embarrassed if they visit Greenway with their lack of composure.

It probably doesn’t help that Fairmont doesn’t seem to have much depth.
