Ricochet from a shootout a street over. Happened during the national anthem. One man who was hit got up and walked down to the deputies on duty and said I think I just got shot. Another stayed and watched the whole game. Police on the scene had it under control quickly and gave the green light to continue is what I was told.
They are very young, but they are going be alright this year. First half tonight time of possession/yardage the two teams were probably fairly close. Two of their better players are out for a few weeks. They have a qb that is new to the position, a freshman running back will take some time.
Not sure who was counting players, but Fort Hill started five sophomores on defense tonight at Northern. Not only did they start, they played the entire game with the first group until the 2nd half running clock.

That's never happened on the Hill. Not even close. Thought they all played well. You have to like the future here. Going to be some growing pains this year along the way. But it's a talented group with a large amount of bodies. All in all FH has 10 sophomores on varsity and they all played at length tonight.
just close the school and combined with FH, it's not funny anymore. Put the schools together and let them compete, the County is doing a disservice to the kids at Alco's kids
I really try to not be critical about the announcers. I don’t expect them to be well-versed or professional at their job, but I do expect excitement when they’re calling the game especially when big plays happen. I guess I’m just disappointed because I listen to other football games and the announcers are clearly rooting for one team and that makes it exciting..
I thought it was a pretty good improvement from what you normally get from them. They were pretty consistent with giving the correct down and distance and yardage gained or lost from each play which was a pleasant surprise plus there was actual play by play and not just stone silence while the play was going on
Penalties have killed Dunbar. At least one touchdown called back and numerous big offensive plays. It’s a pretty dominant performance despite the score.
Seems like a lot of penalties in this game - Dunbar is understandable for week 1 but week 2 for SB needs a lot of cleanup, especially on delay of game.

Dunbar got ball back. Long run gets Dunbar inside SB 10. Penalty pushes it out to 23. Another penalty pushes it to 28. Nullifies nice completion. 4th down pass incomplete. 46 seconds left. SB has ball.
I'm watching as well. Dunbar's defense is stout. Their offense looks like every other year. Hang around, scramble, break your back in seconds with a big play or 3. "They are who we thought they were." DG
