......................................................................................................
Good Counsel linebacker Garvin Brooms
Camps: “There are a couple of camps I’ll be going to. JMU, Towson, Villanova,
and St. Frances camps are all coming up. I’ll most likely be going to those.”
Recruiting: “I’ve had conversations with St. Frances and they have been
contacting me. Davidson called me and said that they want me to come to their
camp. I visited Villanova and their coach wanted me at their camp. I’ve also
heard from Towson and a few other ones.”
......................................................................................................
Oakdale lineman Julian Lynn
Camps: “So far I’ve been to Maryland and Towson. I showed really well at
Maryland and actually picked up an offer from Morgan State for my performance
there. I’ll be at ECU and hopefully I can pick up an offer from them too.”
The Morgan State offer: “It felt great because it was my first offer. I
haven't been there yet so I need to visit.. I know I need to stay focused and
continue working.”
Camps: “I have ECU, William and Mary, Delaware, and
Stony Brook. There might be a few others depending on how these go.”
Recruiting: “Right now, it is Maryland, ECU, William and Mary, and Stony Brook.
Those are probably the top schools showing the most interest.”
A
favorite: “I’ve been to a Maryland a couple of times because it is local and
easy to get to. I like that a lot but I’m not really sure. I also really like
ECU. I like the area and they are definitely big on my list.”
......................................................................................................
St. Mary's tight end Paul Zacharski
Camps: “I went to Penn State and I was at Maryland last year. I’ll be going
to Maryland and Villanova.”
Penn State camp: “I think I did pretty well
compared to the other guys. I was only a junior with seniors and I think I did
really well against them.”
Camp feedback: “I talked to the tight end
coach and he said I did very well. I have to work on blocking but if I do that
I’ll be just fine.”
Recruiting: “I’ve gotten some stuff from Towson and
they liked me when I went to camp there. Tennessee called me coach and said they
wanted me to camp there. There has also been Duke, Pittsburgh, and Delaware.
Towson feedback: “They also said I did really well. They said if I get any
bigger for their scheme I’d be playing fullback. I told them that was alright
but it is like the same thing.”
......................................................................................................
St. Mary's lineman Aris-Lewis Carroll
Camps: “The only college camp I’ve done is Lafayette. I went to a junior day
at Towson but that wasn’t a camp. I also went to the DMV Showcase.”
Camps
coming up: “It will be mostly in the Northeast at schools like Princeton and
Cornell. I believe I’m going to Penn State, Maryland, Towson, and Trinity as
well. I might go to a couple in the Carolinas like NC State and Coastal
Carolina.”
Recruiting: “Right now it is Cornell, Towson, and Shepherd.”
Spring calls: “I have gotten calls from Trinity and Towson.”
School
recruiting the hardest: “I am not really sure. I think they are all recruiting
me pretty evenly.”
......................................................................................................
Urbana running back Ray Gray
Camps: “I am planning on going to some camps this year. I might go down south
to see what they have to offer at a school like Clemson. NC State is another one
along with East Carolina. They are big on me now and came to my school multiple
times.”
Offers: “Right now I have Marshall, Temple, and Monmouth
University.”
Others interested: “There has been NC State, East Carolina,
Clemson has sent me multiple letters. Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, and
Florida, Those are the big schools sending me stuff.”
Spring calls: “A
lot of coaches called me and told me that was their first call. The schools I
mentioned are the ones that are really after me.”
Schools close to
offering: “Every single one of them is close I feel. They are trying to see how
I fit within their offense and how they would use me.”
A favorite: “The
schools that are offering me the most is Temple University. They got a great
program down there. Temple and Marshall are pretty even. Marshall has one of the
most explosive offenses in the nation. It is just a great atmosphere there.”
A final decision: “I really want to decide this summer. My coach told me to
wait until a couple more offers come through. He wants me to play this fall and
let colleges see me. I’m guessing it will be this all.”
