Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“My goal is to play college football at a D1 program, and that is the goal I have been working towards the past several years.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The recruiting process for kickers and specialists is a little different from other football positions. It is highly dependent on individual performance at camps and in front of coaches. As a result, the active recruitment process starts a little later than for other positions. That being said, I have talked to coaches from Harvard, Princeton, Penn, Navy, Maryland, and Northwestern.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yes. Over the past eight months, I have made gameday visits and attended specialist camps at Virginia, Wake Forest, Princeton, Harvard, Penn, Navy, and Maryland.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I look to plan more trips this spring as I continue to communicate with coaches and attend additional camps. The specific trips will be influenced by each school’s demonstrated need for a kicker from the class of 2020.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“The first university program that I had exposure to was the University of Virginia when I attended their specialist camp. I loved the campus and the atmosphere in Charlottesville, and the athletic facilities were amazing. I had the chance to meet Head Coach Bronco Mendenhall and Special Teams Coach Ricky Brumfield during my time on the Grounds. UVA also has a strong academic reputation, which is important to me. Since then, I have also had the chance to visit the University of Maryland and meet with Coach Dave Mencarini and his staff. Maryland has many of the same desirable qualities as UVA and was very impressive to see in person after watching them as a kid.”
