The cold didn't shut out Surrattsville last year 42-0. Fort Hill's line of scrimmage did as it did every other opponent. Guess what?
Every team I read about talks about this great quarterback, this great receiver, this great running back. When am I going to read about another team's line of scrimmage? Because from what I have seen the last 3-4 weeks this Fort Hill offensive line is crushing opponents. The holes have been huge, especially last night against North Carroll. Yes, go ahead and use the old adage you could drive a truck through those holes or you and I could run through those holes. If that's not enough, the FH defensive line has come into its own dominating form. It's great to have the skill players FH employs but make no mistake, they are winning games by large margins with the boys up front. You saw the DL in Homecoming, you saw the OL the last two weeks. It's hard to tell because most all of the games have been lopsided scores all year, but I see this team getting better and better every week - a staple of this longtime coaching staff.
I can't quite tell if this FH team is that good or if the competition has been that bad. Maybe a little of both on some occasions. But I will say again...this line of scrimmage, who is platooning players again like last year, is playing lights out again this year. Opponents can bring all the great skill people they want to the game, but they better bring the hogs with knuckles on the ground to win.
