Some Queen City Quad chatter

North Point from Waldorf, MD will be at the Quad on August 19. They have an offensive tackle by the name of Rasheed Walker who goes 6'5, 295 lbs. and is rated the nation's No. 7 overall OT according to Rivals. He has over 50 college offers including the likes of Ohio State, Penn State, LSU, etc. A good chance he may line up having to block Fort Hill's Luke Hamilton. Interesting individual match ups. North Point posted a 9-1 regular season last year in 4A before getting beat in the playoffs.

FH scrimmages Woodlawn toward the end of the month. Coach Townsend coached Douglass when they played FH.

Townsend also owned and was the quarterback for the Baltimore Jaguars who came up to Greenway to play the Cougars at least three times. He ran the same offense then that he ran at Baltimore - Frederick Douglass. It was 2003, if my memory serves correct, he engineered a 21-0 lead at halftime in the season opener at Greenway but the Cougars won on a last second plunge to win 28-21. Mike Burke wrote a column on that one.
