Smithsburg - Havre de Grace game cancelled

Smithsburg was supposed to travel there Thursday, but had "transportation issues". The game will not be made up. Don't know how much, if at all, this hurts HDG as far as playoff seeding.

Schools were closed in Harford County on Friday (today) for an MSEA Convention. Maybe they don't play games on a day like that.

HDG get a forfeit win?

It is considered just a cancelled game with no make up scheduled.
According to the MPSSAA, there was a "communication error" so there will be no forfeit.
Both teams will now play with a nine game schedule.

Interesting point, the Hagerstown Harold is currently running a story about tonight's game between Smithsburg and Havre DeGrace, so they didn't even get the memo that it was moved to last night.
