What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“My team and I have been working out. We have really been getting stronger and faster throughout this off-season, reviewing tape, and really trying to get ready for this first season game of the season in general.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“Since football season I have gotten way stronger, faster, and determined. I got hungrier to become a great student athlete to make myself and my family proud. I have been working out different parts of my body, improving my skill set and many more.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“What I am really trying to improve in before the season is to continue on getting faster, and stronger so that I could be ready for anything. Really it is just getting my head and body straight and ready for everything. I want to be able to learn how to run the ball better and an overall good and hard-working student athletefootball player specifically. Also, academic wise, I am trying to improve my grades. My GPA is 3.0 but I would like to get it higher, there’s always room for improvement.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel like my team has gotten way stronger throughout this off-season and I feel as if we will get to the playoffs and start winning more games than we did last season. I feel like we will change everyone’s point of view and what they think about us, we will let the people sleep on us for right now, but we will wake them up someway somehow. For right now we will continue working together, bonding and learning the great game of football so that we could be able to get ready for this upcoming season. We have something to prove to ourselves that we could do it, all we have to do is work hard, play hard and be straight beast out there.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Nobody because we are coming for all, and we will continue to work hard and fight hard. When we are on that field, we will be going to war so even if we fall down, we will get right back up, and we will continue to fight and work hard until that last whistle blows for the game to be over. We have Damascus on our schedule I’m pretty sure this year and that does not scare us at all. We are just taking it one game at a time.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Our first opponent is the Sherwood Warriors. I feel as if we could win but we never know until this game actually happens, I feel like the way we’ve been working. I feel as if we will win that game, we have been working hard this off season getting ready for them and taking it 1 game at a time and that starts off with them so we will win. Our line is getting stronger, we’re starting to understand the game of football more. We’re learning, getting faster and wiser, plus on top of that studying them and the way we play by film so I know that we will be ready for them when the season starts.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to go to college for both academics and to also play football as well.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Currently, they’re no teams recruiting me or anything like that.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“So far, I have gone down to Towson first and then I also have been to Georgetown for a visit. I was able to look around the campus a little bit, stepped on the field, and met some players and coaches.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, I have plans for more trips to be taken throughout the rest of this school year, summer and also next school year as well.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I would like to go to many camps this summer, so far I am not sure as of right now but that is all up for my coach to decide some of the camps and for me to go searching as well for more.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Growing up and until this day It really didn’t matter to me what school, just whatever school that was willing on giving me scholarship money so that I could get a good education while playing football as well so being both a scholar first and student athlete second so if I were to say my top 5 is University Of Maryland (UMD), Towson because my brother goes there, it is just a beautiful area, I love the campus, it’s just a good college I think that I would be able to fit in, Virginia State because it is also a nice campus that I could see myself fitting in there and also a great school, somewhere that I could get away. North Carolina A&T I just actually started last year having interest in that school because I know one of my really close childhood friend he’s like family to me and he goes there and he says that it is a really good school and on top of that there football team is good. Finally Georgetown Prep as well because I went for a visit and I fell in love with the facility quickly, the coaches are really chill, they work hard and also Georgetown is a really good school, especially for me because when I went over there I could see myself being there, and see myself possibly going there.”
