What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I have been lifting with my football team at our off-season workouts, which are four days a week. I also do some speed and quickness training on my own, usually three days a week. I typically kick three to four times a week on top of my lifting and conditioning.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I have improved my leg strength and become much better at kicking field goals off the ground since last season. My leg has become quicker as a result of my workouts, resulting in more distance and hang time on my kicks. I have also had time to become more consistent kicking off of the ground this off-season, which is necessary to be successful at camps over the summer and prove that you’re college ready.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I am trying to improve both my strength and my consistency on field goals and kickoffs. They are my strong suits, but there is always room to grow and develop them to compete with the best in the nation. I’m also working to improve my punts and bring them closer to the level of my FG’s and KO’s.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We play South River in our first game this season. South River is a new opponent for us, and I’ve never faced them before. I don’t know much about their team, but we’re excited to face them and will be prepared.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I plan on playing football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have received recruiting interest from Army, Navy, Virginia Tech, Harvard, Texas Tech, Princeton, Georgetown, Mississippi State, and a few other schools.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Army has recruited me the hardest.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made many recruiting trips to most of the schools that were recruiting me. I made gameday visits last spring, Junior day visits, and a few summer visits. I really enjoyed my Army, Navy, and Harvard trips.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on visiting Army, Navy and Virginia Tech at least one more time.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to camps at Georgetown, Virginia Tech, Harvard, and Penn. I performed the best at Virginia Tech and Harvard. My VT camp performance resulted in an offer.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite school growing up was the University of Virginia, my dad’s Alma Mater.”
