What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“As far as off-season workouts, I’ve been going to summer practices for my school. On Wednesdays and Fridays, there’s no practice so I hit they gym. I get some cardio and core in.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I think I’ve most improved on my IQ since last season. I’ve been learning to read offenses better. Also, I am reading keys and that helps me play smarter and quicker.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I’m trying to improve on my strength and speed. These two always go hand in hand with the game. I want to be able to take on lineman and still make the tackle in the backfield. That’s why those two are needed.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“Our season opener is Huntingtown. They are well coached and discipline. They play smart and are a pretty good team. I look forward to playing them though on September 6.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play football in college. It has always been a dream of mine.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been talking to Bridgewater College, Bowie State, and McDaniel.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I wouldn’t say any school is recruiting me the hardest. They have interest and want so see how I do my senior season.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve made one college trip to a Morgan State Junior Day.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, I plan on trying to talk to Shepherd and Seton Hill and am going to visit those schools.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to Donnie Zimmerman camp and I did great. I was the only LB with and an INT. I got to talk to a lot of coaches. Also, I went to Bowie State camp. I did good and talk to the coaches at Bowie.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college team growing up was the UMD Terps. It’s because they are the home team.”
