What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I am on a 7 on 7 team called No Offseason run by Coach Jamal Johnson, so we had practice every weekend and I lifted every morning before school.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“My football IQ. I have been watching a lot of film trying to learn how to read more defenses easier. I always had good football IQ, but it got better.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I am trying to improve on my quickness and strength.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“During Covid, I have to work out at home instead of in the weight room and I have to do different catching drills. I use a tennis ball a lot to work on hand eye.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel that my team could be really good this year. We have our top 3 receivers and QB coming back. Last year, we had a lot of first-time varsity starters. This year, we will have experience.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Palloti and Boys' Latin. Palloti is really athletic and big. They always give us trouble. With Boys' Latin, it is always a big rivalry game for us. Anyone can win any year.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“The toughest player will be Roman Hemby from John Carrol. He is being recruited by a lot of D1 schools and he is a very good running back.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Some D3 colleges like Ursinus and Alvernia. There are some low D1 schools that have talked to me, and it has mostly been Ivy League and Patriot League schools like Lehigh and Lafayette.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Ursinus.”
Have you made any college trips yet
“Not yet.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I was going to, but a lot of them were cancelled.”
What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Stevenson camp and I was going to a bunch of camps with the No Offseason 7 on 7 team.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Maryland because my uncle went there.”
