How did the high school football season go overall?
“This season was an improvement from the previous year. After going 2-8 my sophomore season, we bounced back and went 5-5. The program is moving in the right direction and has created a sense of renewal.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Since November, I’ve been lifting weights with the team and putting in extra work with my uncles, who are both certified in strength and conditioning, and are also coaches. On the weekend, I work on my position skills at Prime Xample Academy. I go all year round.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I want to continue to work at becoming a better overall player and improve on my weaknesses. Conditioning and explosiveness are always at the top of my list, but I also want to be a better pass rusher and blocker.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“There have been about 40 guys in the weight room every day we’ve lifted with so far this year. We have a lot of talent coming up, and they’re buying into the system. I think if this pattern continues, we will be much better than last year.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Westminster has always been a tough opponent. But more recently, Liberty has been playing pretty well. Off the new schedule, these two teams will be our toughest competition.”
Do you want to play sports in college?
“Absolutely. One of my biggest goals is to play football at the collegiate level.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve being asked to attend a few prospect camps this spring and summer, but as of right now, Shenandoah and Lafayette have contacted me to schedule visits.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet, but I plan on scheduling a few visits soon.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I will be attending Lafayette’s junior day, and a couple other scouting combines like National Prep Showcase: TopDawg junior combine.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“The University of Oregon. I’ve always enjoyed watching their offense, and how they emerged as contenders in the PAC-12.”
