How did the high school football season go overall?
”Our season at Reservoir last year did not go as planned, but we are optimistic and excited moving into next season.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am currently playing 7 on 7 with Perfect Performance and just finished up indoor track season with my school. I have not decided if I am going to play lacrosse this spring yet, but I am participating in school football workouts with my team.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying to improve my versatility and being able to play a bigger role on both sides of the ball. I feel that playing 7 on 7 helps me improve my coverage and agility, while also improving my technique at nickel and safety so that I can be ready to play wherever I am needed at the next level. I am also always in the weight room trying to get stronger so that I can take on lineman while I am at linebacker. 7 on 7 also helps me master my route running so I can stay an option in the pass game in addition to at running back.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel my team will be more successful this upcoming season because we seem to have a much bigger “buy in” compared to last year. I feel that our record from last year showed us what happens when we do not buy into what our program’s goals and what it takes to get there. We have a much bigger turnout at offseason workouts and are all working as a collective to get better this offseason. We also have many returning starters and players who got good playing time last year who are coming back more experienced and better.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We do not have our schedule yet, but every game within Howard County feels deeper than a game because so many people across the county know each other, and so many players between teams know each other.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Harvard, Columbia, Brown, Lincoln University, Princeton, William and Mary, Ursinus, and Denison.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Harvard is recruiting me the hardest. They have sent me handwritten mail. William & Mary invited me to a junior day, but it was the same day as a 7 on 7 tournament that I already committed to going to.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went on a game day visit to Princeton last season and I went to junior day at Denison recently. I have made other non-football trips. I’ve also been to Duquesne and Dayton with Perfect Performance.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, I plan on making a trip to William & Mary when their junior day gets scheduled. I also plan on attending a prospect camp at Harvard towards the beginning of the summer.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Yes, my parents met at the University of Michigan. I am a huge Michigan fan.”
