What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Lately, I’ve just been hitting the weight room extremely hard with my team and by myself along with speed training and conditioning. I am just trying to be as strong and fast as I have ever been in my life for this season.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel that I have really improved my body as a junior. I played at maybe 205lbs and now I am 235lbs while being the fastest and strongest I’ve ever been. That has really helped my confidence.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I am still working to get stronger with strength on the football field being a must. You can push people around and make plays while staying healthy.”
Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We play Thomas Johnson in our season opener, which is also our home opener, so I know the guys and the town are pretty excited about that. We just have to be prepared and do our thing. We will be just fine and we feel that way about all of our games this year.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been recruited by most of the schools in the Ivy League, CAA, Patriot, MAC, American and then I’ve had a lot of communication with multiple Power 5 schools.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I wouldn’t say one schools has really recruited me the hardest but Yale, Princeton, Harvard, JMU, Elon, Georgetown, UMD and others I’ve had phone calls with coaches from and things like that.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Yeah, I’ve been to UMD, UVA, Harvard, Georgetown and a couple of others.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on visiting some more schools at the end of July that have expressed serious interest and that will be watching my senior tape closely.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I went to a couple camps. I did the Best of DMV by National Preps and Donnie Zimmerman and then a couple college ones, but I decided to really focus on my team and getting ready for the season.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“When I was a kid, I was always a WVU fan just because my parents went there, my grandparents live there, and it’s just all I ever knew.”
